Monee Community Clean-Up

On Sunday May 18th, 2008 Ecommunity members and citizens from Monee, Illinois got together to pick up trash from the I57 and Monee Rd. Within only 4 hours we had picked up the stunning amount of 43 huge garbage bags. Yes! 43 bags!!! But don't let yourself be fooled -- see the videos and count yourself!

Getting Dirty in the Woods Project (May 2008)

Ecommunity Joliet's first project was a complete success. We partnered with the Forest Preserve during the Comcast Cares Day. I was blown away by the many volunteers the Forest Preserve and Comcast were able to motivate to help and how much just a few people can get done when working together. It was lots of fun. The weather was on our side --luckily! Ecommunity Joliet counted 7 members volunteering at this 4 hour work day and they all had a blast! Comcast provided an amazing breakfast & lunch because we were HUNGRY after returning from 4 hours in the woods!
